Shift Timings:

  • Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Saturday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM



Job Description

The Phlebotomist I / Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the frontline representative to patients visiting the facility for routine health evaluations or specialized diagnostic needs. This role involves collecting high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing while strictly following established procedures and safety standards.

The Phlebotomist I interacts directly with patients, ensuring a professional, compassionate, and confidencebuilding experience. The ideal candidate must be skilled in performing accurate and safe blood draws, including pediatric and geriatric collections, while maintaining strict confidentiality and data accuracy.




Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily operational tasks accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times.
  • Confidently perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established protocols.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and maintain all required records.
  • Provide excellent customer service while promoting a positive image for the company to patients, clients, and the public.
  • Communicate procedures clearly to patients to create an atmosphere of trust.
  • Prepare and label specimens correctly for laboratory analysis.
  • Practice leadership behaviors with a strong focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy.



Job Requirements



Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to deliver highquality, errorfree work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal onsite supervision.
  • Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws.
  • Flexibility to work per staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and oncall rotations.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Must be punctual, reliable, and committed to attending the full scheduled shift.
  • Reliable personal transportation required (public transport, rideshare, or dropoffs are not acceptable).


Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent — REQUIRED
  • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training — Preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification — Preferred
    (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington)


Experience

  • Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience — REQUIRED
  • 1+ year of direct phlebotomy experience — Preferred
  • Customer service experience in retail or service industry — Preferred
  • Keyboard and dataentry experience required.



Additional Requirements

  • Candidates must list home city and commute time (must be within 20–25 minutes of the job site).
  • Pay rate is determined solely by years of direct phlebotomy experience (overlapping roles are not counted twice).
  • Students must ensure their school schedule does not conflict with job shift hours.
  • Excessive tardiness or absenteeism will result in termination.
