Phlebotomist II - Float
Location: Plantation, FL
Duration: 3 Months+ (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Must have flexibility for availability between 6am-4pm, depending on site to be covered.
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is the frontline representative of our company to patients visiting for routine health checks or critical medical insights. The PSR II is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring a safe, professional, and supportive environment. This role requires exceptional phlebotomy skills, excellent communication, and a strong commitment to process excellence and patient confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily specimen collection and processing activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.

Ensure a safe and professional work environment.

Confidently perform clinical and forensic specimen collection (including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws) in accordance with established protocols.

Verify patient identity and ensure correct labeling of specimens, including patient signature verification post-venipuncture.

Maintain accurate records and required documentation.

Deliver outstanding customer service and promote a positive company image to patients, clients, and the public.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and uphold organizational values and policies.

Travel as needed to cover multiple locations, with short notice when required.
Qualifications:
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
-
Medical training preferred (e.g., Medical Assistant, EMT/Paramedic)
-
Phlebotomy certification preferred; Required in California, Nevada, and Washington
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience (must include pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections) (Required)

Experience in a Patient Service Center environment (Preferred – 2 years)
-
Customer service experience in retail or healthcare setting (Preferred)

Data entry/keyboard experience (Required)
Skills and Competencies:

Strong phlebotomy skills (clinical and forensic) with attention to safety and accuracy

High attention to detail and ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Flexible availability: weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build trust with patients
