The Imaging Data Engineering Team within Client provides data sourcing, data management, generation, and validation services to support imaging research & development teams in their algorithm research and development.
We are an incredibly smart and diverse group of unique individuals united in our mission to improve the lives of every patient afflicted with cancer.
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with a strong grasp of programming languages, databases, and computational tools, as well as the ability to collect, query, and store information from databases.
Candidates should have demonstrated experience in data engineering using advanced computational methods including, but not limited to establishing and deploying database infrastructure (e.g. SQL) and corresponding schemas, use of programming languages to engineer analysis solutions, and leveraging informatics for data evaluation (i.e. QC).
Given the collaborative nature of our team we are looking for someone with a flexible and learning mindset, the ability to work in a fluid and dynamic environment, and a strong desire to pursue creative solutions to challenging problems.
Qualifications
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
5-10 years of extensive experience in data and software engineering roles
Extensive hands-on experience in Object-Oriented software development and application of SOLID principles to ensure clean, modular, and extensible code.
Proficiency in Python and familiarity with industry-standard SDLC processes and best practices.
Proficiency in Test-Driven Development (TDD) and a strong understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) for complex systems.
Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL and SQLite, Microsoft SQL Server or others and ORM libraries (e.g., SQLAlchemy)
Strong command of ANSI SQL, with experience in writing efficient queries and managing relational data.
Proficiency in data processing and management including the ability to query large data sets, including image sets.
Significant experience in building and maintaining SOAP and REST based APIs
Experience with load testing, latency profiling, and performance optimization for backend systems.
Experience in optimizing backend architectures for high-performance and scalable processing of structured and unstructured health data.
Collaborate on product evolution to incorporate and optimize the use of ML and LLM technologies.
Experience in NoSQL solutions like AWS DynamoDB, GCP Datastore, Cassandra, MongoDB or similar for designing and developing highly scalable applications.
Strong experience with AWS cloud services for deployment, automation, and infrastructure management.
Strong DevOps focus and experience building and deploying infrastructure with cloud deployment technologies like Terraform, Cloudformation, etc.
Hands-on experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Plotly, or similar).
Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision.
Excellent organizational and documentation skills and able to multitask
Demonstrated communication skills
Mandatory skills required
Strong experience with AWS cloud services for deployment, automation, and infrastructure management.
