Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT)
Location: Oklahoma City, OK 74136
Duration: 3+ Months with possible extension
Work Schedule: Nights 7 PM – 7 AM; every other weekend rotation
Job Responsibilities:
- Assesses, implements, and evaluates respiratory care services in accordance with hospital standards and department policies.
- Delivers care and interventions to patients in non-critical and critical care areas.
- Performs computer entry, verifies physician orders, and documents clinical information.
- Provides mechanical ventilation (invasive and non-invasive) and monitors patient parameters.
- Maintains ventilators, adjusts settings, and monitors patient response.
- Communicates effectively with healthcare team and responds to changing patient conditions.
- Delegates and supervises tasks when appropriate.
- Responds to code blues, RIT/CRIT calls, and patient transports.
- Participates in mentoring, quality monitoring, and process improvement initiatives.
- Organizes and prioritizes tasks based on patient and departmental needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Valid Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner License (RCP) or temporary letter to practice
- CRT/RRT credential through NBRC
- BLS certification from AHA
- Ability to perform respiratory therapies including nebulizer treatments, aerosol therapy, ventilator management, CPR, intubation/extubation, suctioning, and bronchoscopy assist
Preferences:
- 1 year of experience
- Critical Care and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience
- Willingness to work Adult ICU and Pediatrics
