Job Location: Anderson, SC

Shift: Mon-Thurs 8:00-6:30
Position Overview
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company, interacting directly with patients as part of their routine healthcare or during critical health-related decisions. The PSR II is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established procedures. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, patient confidentiality, and a strong commitment to service excellence.
Assignments may include work in a doctor’s office, Patient Service Center (PSC), or other locations as business needs dictate.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily duties accurately and on time under the direction of the Area Supervisor

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment

Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens following established practices
-
Verify patient demographics and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm proper tube labeling

Ensure specimens are labeled correctly in the patient’s presence

Maintain accurate records and required documentation
-
Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence

Uphold confidentiality and accuracy of patient information

Promote a positive company image to patients, clients, employees, and the public
Required Skills & Competencies

Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Comfortable with change and adaptable to evolving business needs

Keyboarding and data entry proficiency
Scheduling & Flexibility Requirements

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime

Willingness to travel and work at multiple locations with minimal notice

Must be able to cover Patient Service Centers and In-Office Phlebotomy sites

Training locations may vary based on trainer availability
Education Requirements
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
-
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)
-
Phlebotomy certification (Preferred)
-
Required in California, Nevada, and Washington

Experience Requirements
-
1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required

Must include pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
-
-
2 years of Patient Service Center (PSC) experience preferred
-
Customer service experience in retail or service environments highly preferred
Transportation & Attendance Requirements
-
Must have reliable personal transportation (public transit, Uber, or rideshare is not considered reliable)

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record if applicable
-
Must be punctual, attend all scheduled shifts, and remain for the entire shift
-
Excessive absenteeism or tardiness is not tolerated and may result in termination
