Shift: Floating schedule between 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Pay Range: $28.39 - $31.17/hr. on W2

The Phlebotomist Floater III serves as a mobile, high-skill representative of the organization, responsible for delivering exceptional phlebotomy services across multiple patient care settings. This advanced-level role supports Patient Service Centers (PSC), In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP), long-term care facilities, mobile labs, and home visits. The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, adaptability, and clinical excellence, ensuring consistent quality and patient satisfaction.

Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist Floater III serves as a mobile, high-skill representative of the organization, responsible for delivering exceptional phlebotomy services across multiple patient care settings. This advanced-level role supports Patient Service Centers (PSC), In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP), long-term care facilities, mobile labs, and home visits. The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, adaptability, and clinical excellence, ensuring consistent quality and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform skilled venipuncture and capillary collections on patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
- Prepare, label, and process specimens for lab testing per standard operating procedures.
- Float between multiple locations to provide phlebotomy coverage and operational support.
- Act as lead or mentor in high-volume or complex collection sites.
- Assist in training, onboarding, and coaching new phlebotomy staff and PSRs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and confidentiality guidelines (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA).
- Serve as a liaison between internal departments (Sales, Billing, IT, Lab Services) to resolve operational issues.
- Create a welcoming and reassuring environment for patients during blood collection procedures.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills in dynamic settings.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (preferred).
- Phlebotomy Certification (preferred; required in CA, NV, WA).
- Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric collections (required).
- Minimum 3 years working in a PSC or IOP environment (preferred).
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to travel to various locations and adapt to diverse environments.
- Strong multitasking and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
