Phlebotomist I
Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
Location: Doral, FL
Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, plus Saturdays 6:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Onsite Interviews: Wednesdays and Thursdays, 2:00–4:00 PM at Miramar, FL
Duration: 5 months +, temp to hire
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is the face of the company, interacting directly with patients as part of routine health visits or life-impacting health decisions. This role involves drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing them for laboratory testing while ensuring accuracy, safety, and professionalism. The PSR I must create an environment of trust and comfort, explain procedures clearly, and demonstrate outstanding phlebotomy and interpersonal skills.
The PSR I is expected to model leadership behaviors, maintain patient confidentiality, and ensure accuracy in all interactions and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform specimen collection (forensic and clinical) following company procedures and safety standards.
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing.
- Provide excellent, empathetic patient service and explain collection procedures in a clear, professional manner.
- Accurately complete documentation and maintain records.
- Support a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
- Represent the organization positively to patients, clients, and the public.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and complete daily activities on time.
Requirements:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED).
Experience:
- At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience (REQUIRED).
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience (preferred).
- Customer service experience in retail or service industries (preferred).
- Keyboard/data entry experience (required).
Skills:
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime when needed.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite — public transportation or rideshare is not considered reliable.
- Must be punctual and available for the full scheduled shift.
- Candidates must live within 20–25 minutes of the worksite
- Pay rate is based on verified years of direct experience (overlapping experience does not count twice).
