Job Title: Travel: Surgical Technologist Certified – Days
Job Location: Santa Fe, NM 87505
Job Duration: 3 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift/Schedule: Days | 6:30am - 3:00pm | Weekend and On-Call Required

Job Responsibilities:

• Support surgeons throughout surgical procedures.
• Prepare, provide, and care for surgical instruments and equipment.
• Maintain a sterile field during operations.
• Assist with instrument handling, sterilization, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to universal precautions and safety protocols.
• Utilize protective equipment to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• Perform duties requiring prolonged standing, walking, and lifting.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Graduation from a Surgical Technology program preferred).
• Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.

Certifications/Licenses:

• BLS Certification (AHA required).
• Surgical Technologist Certification required.

Experience:

• Minimum 1 year experience in an acute care hospital OR or instrument care environment preferred.
• Experience in an acute care operating room setting.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

• Knowledge of surgical instruments and equipment handling.
• Knowledge of sterilization and cleaning procedures.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Physical Requirements:

• Heavy physical effort; standing, walking, lifting most of the day.
• Ability to speak, hear, and communicate written and verbal information.
