Job description:
- This role supports the new Bioanalytical, Vaccines and Biomarkers business unit in Richmond, Va, part of the group of analytical science businesses.
- Under the direction of HR leadership, you will be handling the day-to-day Human Resource functions including positive employee relations, recruiting and selection, HR compliance, on-boarding, training and development, compensation and performance management.
Responsibilities:
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and implement HR functional initiatives
- Provide HR support and coaching to mid-level managers on HR policies and processes, people management, and career development
- Counsel and/or coach employees and mid-level managers regarding employee relations issues including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints, etc.
- Ensure effective talent management including recruitment to support the organization's growth.
- Assist mid-level managers in assessing and identifying resources to meet employee/departmental training needs and support employees to continuously develop their skills in their field of work
- Partner with site, HR centers of excellence, and mid-level managers to coordinate and provide guidance on site activities, and drive employee engagement
- Maintains compliance and state employment laws and other human resources compliance issues.
- Collaborate with country HR leaders to drive / support benefits and policy harmonization as applicable.
- Work closely with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and other Human Resources colleagues to evolve and implement services, processes, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business administration, or related field
- Generally, 2+ years of HR work experience or equivalent experience required
- Must have demonstrable track record in various aspects of providing guidance on ADA, leave of absence and short-term disability processes
Knowledge and Complexity of Role
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies to include state and federal labor laws.
- Proficient with Workday, Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint, experience using a reporting application.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, work independently, and follow up on projects and performance management processes.
- Highly collaborative, results focused, and have a passion for providing an exceptional customer experience.
- Strong analysis, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent influencing skills, along with ability to build positive professional relationships
