Business Analytics Analyst

Job Purpose:

As an Associate Business Analyst, you will be an integral part of our team in analyzing business processes, interpreting data, documenting business requirements, and supporting strategic decision-making. You will work closely with stakeholders, both internal and external, to identify opportunities for improvement, develop actionable insights, and support the implementation of solutions. This role is ideal for individuals with strong critical thinking skills and a passion for business analysis.

Job Responsibilities:

Critical Thinking and Problem Solving:
o Assist in identifying and understanding underlying issues impacting organizational performance.
o Support stakeholders by providing clear and accurate information to aid decision-making.
o Learn and apply problem-solving techniques to help address challenges and opportunities effectively.
Requirements Management:
o Learn and use requirements management tools and methodologies to ensure alignment with project goals and maintain traceability from business needs to final outcomes.
o Product familiarity with industry standard project management tools.
o Develop basic skills in system analysis techniques to document system requirements, use cases, and workflows.
o Assist in creating visual prototypes, wireframes, and mock-ups using tools to communicate requirements and validate solutions with stakeholders.
Data Analysis & Interpretation:
o Learn and maintain data analysis tools and techniques, including SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
o Develop skills in creating data visualizations to help convert raw data into meaningful insights for decision-making.
Business Process Modeling:
o Support the documentation and representation of business processes to aid in analysis and improvement efforts.
o Assist in mapping and analyzing business processes, identifying inefficiencies, and suggesting improvements.
Collaboration & Communication:
o Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, internal and external, at various levels of the organization.
o Practice active listening, asking clarifying questions, and summarizing information accurately.
o Learn to explain technical concepts in simple terms, particularly when engaging with individuals who have varying levels of technical knowledge.

Required Job Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related field, and 1 year of experience, OR 5 years of relevant industry experience.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Familiarity with business process modeling techniques and tools.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
Basic understanding of business analysis principles and methodologies is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with data analysis tools is preferred.
