Interventional Radiology Technician
Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technician
Location: Edison, NJ 08818
Duration: June 2, 2025 – August 30, 2025
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Schedule: 5 Days Per Week, 40 Hours Per Week, On Call Required (Rotating coverage 1–2 shifts/week), Weekend Requirement – On Call Only, Holidays – As Needed
Job Summary:

Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, body-interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist.

Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team with nurses, radiologists, and vascular surgeons.

Groin management post-intervention.
-
Interventional Radiology department supports both body and neuro procedures.
-
Facility includes 3 IR suites (2 biplanes and 1 single plane) and a 9-bay recovery room.
Qualifications & Skills:

Education:
-
HS Diploma or equivalent.
-
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

Licensure & Certifications:
-
New Jersey Radiologic Technologist license
-
Vascular Interventional Radiology or Radiology Certification through ARRT
-

Required Skills & Experience:
-
Minimum 1 year prior experience as a licensed Radiology Tech
-
Strong knowledge of floor and ceiling-mounted fluoroscopic modality machines
-
Ability to identify, retrieve, and circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases
-
Ability to critically think and assist proceduralist during interventional and complex cases
-
Operation of power injection of iodinated contrast media device during procedures
-
Proficiency in documenting in EMR and sending images to Sectra/PACs system
-
Strong communication skills using closed-loop communication
-
Ability to maintain sterile technique and infection prevention during procedural setup

High-quality care delivery in a fast-paced environment
-
Professional and effective communication with patients
-
Strong organizational skills
-
Ability to multitask
-
Experience with Epic (preferred)
-
1–2 years of IR experience required
