Job Title: Specimen Processing Technician I (SPT I)

Location: Cleveland, OH
Shift: EST – 3rd Shift (7:00 PM – 3:30 AM)
Duration: 3 Months (Temporary)

Job Summary:
The SPT I supports the Specimen Processing Department by handling laboratory samples and performing data entry tasks. Responsibilities include specimen sorting, centrifugation, aliquoting, imaging, and transporting samples within the lab. This role requires accuracy, speed, and adherence to safety and compliance standards in a biohazard environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform specimen processing tasks (sorting, centrifugation, aliquoting)

• Enter data with high accuracy (6,000+ keystrokes/hour)

• Transport specimens within the lab

• Follow safety, compliance, and quality standards

• Maintain clean and organized work area

• Adapt to changing procedures and workload demands

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Basic computer and data entry skills

• Strong attention to detail and organization

• Ability to sit/stand for long periods

• Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred:

• Laboratory or medical background

• Knowledge of medical terminology

• Experience in a production or lab environment
