Phlebotomist I
Duration: 3+ Months
Shift: 6:30-3:30 Mon, Tues Wed, Thur, and Fri. 6-1 every Saturday

Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients, representing the organization with professionalism and care. This role is responsible for collecting and processing clinical and forensic blood specimens while ensuring patient safety, confidentiality, and accuracy. The PSR I creates a positive patient experience by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws skillfully and efficiently in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily phlebotomy and specimen collection activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor

Collect clinical and forensic specimens following standard operating procedures

Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing

Maintain accurate records and required documentation

Ensure patient confidentiality and data accuracy at all times

Create a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment

Explain procedures clearly to patients to build trust and confidence

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and process excellence

Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public
Required Skills and Competencies

Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment

Strong independent work skills with minimal on-site supervision

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections

Strong customer service and communication skills

Attention to detail and organizational skills

Proficiency with keyboarding and data entry systems
Work Schedule Requirements

Flexible availability required

Must be available for weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed
Education Requirements
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
-
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training (Preferred)
-
Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, and WA)
Experience Requirements
-
Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience (Required)
-
One (1) or more years of phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
-
Customer service experience in retail or service environments (Preferred)

Data entry experience (Required)
Additional Requirements
-
Resume must include home city and commute time to job site (must be within 20–25 minutes)

Pay rate is based on years of direct phlebotomy experience listed on the resume
-
Overlapping roles do not count multiple times toward experience
