Job Title: HEDIS Reviewer III
Location: Remote, RI 02895 (may require occasional onsite visits if needed)
Duration: 3 + Months (Possibilities of Extension)
Pay Rate: $40.97/hr. on W2
Position Type:
Contract (Returners Only) – Must commit to full project duration (January – May)
Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (local time)
Position Summary:
You will participate in collecting and reviewing medical records to abstract clinical data for HEDIS and CMS quality reporting. Training will be provided before starting. The role involves reviewing medical charts, annotating via Adobe PDF, and entering data into a collection tool, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
Candidates must be proficient in database use and computer-based work, capable of maintaining accuracy and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance). Work hours may vary, and candidates must inform the employer if accepting other employment during the project.

Key Duties:
- Abstract and enter clinical data from medical records daily
- Coordinate with provider offices for appointment scheduling and records submission
- Review assigned medical charts, annotate documentation, and input data accurately
- Prioritize and complete tasks within deadlines while maintaining quality standards
- Identify trends and suggest areas for process improvement
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information
Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 4 seasons’ experience auditing and abstracting medical records
- Medical knowledge and terminology proficiency
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, email, Adobe Reader
- Ability to save and manage electronic files
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Good organizational and time management abilities
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of PHI and comply with HIPAA regulations
