• Strong Blood Bank / Transfusion experience required

The Medical Laboratory Scientist I performs and monitors a full range of laboratory testing and analysis. The role includes responsibility for problem resolution, quality control, and equipment maintenance while working with minimal supervision.

• Perform laboratory testing in compliance with departmental procedures and regulatory standards

• Follow quality control, quality assurance, safety, and infection control procedures

• Perform instrument maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting

• Accurately analyze and report test results

• Maintain appropriate inventory of laboratory supplies

• Communicate effectively with laboratory staff, interdisciplinary teams, and external customers

• Participate in laboratory projects and educational activities

• Demonstrate and educate laboratory principles and technical skills to others

• Knowledge of laboratory regulations, protocols, and procedures

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills

• Ability to understand and clearly communicate instructions

• Proficiency in laboratory protocols and procedures

• Computer literacy and familiarity with laboratory software systems

• Knowledge of safety and infection control standards

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
