Specimen Technician
Location: Miramar, FL
Duration: 4+ months
Shift: 9 PM – 5:30 AM
Job Title: Specimen Processing Technician I (SPT I)
Overview:
Support specimen processing tasks including data entry, specimen handling, imaging, centrifugation, and delivery within a fast-paced lab environment. Accuracy, organization, and flexibility are essential. Night shifts with possible weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
Key Requirements:

Data entry skills (6,000 keystrokes/hour)

Basic computer skills; lab or medical experience preferred but not required

Ability to learn specimen types, test orders, and compliance rules

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to sit/stand for long periods in a biohazard setting with safety gear

Reliable transportation required (personal vehicle preferred)

Punctuality and full shift availability mandatory

HS diploma or equivalent
-
Excellent English (spoken & written)
Work Environment:
High-volume production, repetitive tasks, strict safety and quality standards.
