CT Technologist
Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: Gretna, LA, 70056
Duration: 3+ months of contracts with possible extension
Shift: Night Shift, 12-Hour Shifts
Schedule: 3 Days/Week, 36 Hours/Week – Weekends; Independent Worker

Job Summary:
• Operates fluoroscopy and cardiac imaging equipment, monitors patient vitals, and assists physicians during catheterization procedures.
• Prepares procedure rooms and equipment, maintains radiation safety standards, and ensures accurate documentation and image archiving.
• Participates in patient setup, diagnostic imaging, radiation monitoring, and PACS operations.
• Performs quality control and equipment maintenance and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Sciences
Licensure & Certifications:
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
• State Radiologic Technologist License
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Required Skills & Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of allied health experience.
• Proficiency with Windows-style applications and software
• Effective verbal/written communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work weekends independently and follow radiation safety protocols.
Physical & Working Conditions:
• Medium Work: 20–50 lbs force occasionally; 10–25 lbs frequently.
• Routine exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue, and potential communicable diseases.
• Occupational risk for hazardous waste and medications in a clinical environment.
• Requires physical agility including pushing, pulling, and extended standing.
