Job Location: Pomona, CA
Job Duration: 18 Months (possibility of extension)
Payrate: $73.54 to $86.01/hr.
This role is Hybrid ONLY two days a week onsite Wed & Thurs. There will be one round of interviews with a panel. A spotlight call will be held next week be on the lookout for the invite.

Job Summary:
- Lead the structural engineering efforts for substation capital projects, focusing on analysis, design, site support, and project delivery.
- Manage multiple projects from large-scale to complex assignments, mentor junior engineers, perform structural analysis and design, and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Travel across Client’s service territory as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead structural analysis, design, and drafting for substations (foundations, structural members, buildings)
- Perform site visits, inspections, and construction support
- Oversee and mentor junior engineers and design contractors
- Provide technical leadership and training
- Ensure compliance with safety, engineering standards, and quality processes
- Collaborate with stakeholders, permitting authorities, and management
- Manage multiple projects and deliverables, providing status updates
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- California PE License (Civil or Structural)
- Valid Class C Driver's License
- 5+ years in structural consulting engineering
Desired Skills:
- 5+ years of experience on electrical substation projects.
- Substation design experience
- AutoCAD drafting experience
- Structural calculation experience
- Strong knowledge of codes: ASCE 7, ACI 318, CBC, AISC 360, IEEE 693, etc.
- 3+ years modifying engineering drawings (AutoCAD)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD
