Phlebotomist I
Job Location: Anderson CA
Duration: 5-6 months of Contract with (temp-to-hire)
Shift: Mon-Fri 7am to 4pm
Pay Range : $20/hr - $24/hr
Position Summary
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the primary point of contact for patients and represents the face of the company. This role is responsible for collecting quality blood specimens and preparing them for laboratory testing while following established procedures. The PSR I creates a professional, trusting environment for patients, explains procedures clearly, and performs specimen collection safely, accurately, and skillfully. The role requires strong attention to confidentiality, accuracy, and process excellence while demonstrating leadership behaviors.
Key Responsibilities

Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor

Draw blood specimens skillfully, safely, and accurately

Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing according to established practices and procedures

Maintain required records, documentation, and patient information confidentiality

Create a safe, professional, and patient-focused environment

Explain procedures clearly to patients to build trust and confidence

Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public
Required Skills & Abilities

Ability to produce high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections

Strong customer service and communication skills

Accurate keyboarding and data entry skills

Flexibility to meet staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime
Education Requirements
-
High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
-
Medical training (medical assistant or paramedic) preferred

Phlebotomy certification preferred
-
Required in California, Nevada, and Washington

Work Experience Requirements
-
Minimum of 6 months of experience (REQUIRED)

One or more years of phlebotomy experience preferred

Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred
-
Previous data entry experience required
