Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Shift: Variable (8 hours/day, 5 days/week)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Pay Rate: $62/hour negotiable (**Per-diem rates are also applicable for qualified candidates)
Minimum one year experience with Breast Imaging; 8-10 patients per shift
Role Overview:
The Ultrasound Technologist conducts ultrasound examinations, provides technical support to Radiologists, and maintains ultrasound equipment to ensure quality diagnostic imaging in a radiology setting.

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and position patients for ultrasound exams following departmental protocols.
- Operate, adjust, and maintain ultrasound equipment; ensure patient and staff safety during procedures.
- Perform minor equipment troubleshooting and cleaning.
- Ensure availability of necessary supplies for daily operations.
- Assist with orientation and mentoring of new ultrasound staff.
- Capture and upload images to PACS, facilitating physician review.
- Manage scheduling, answer phones, and coordinate patient transportation when needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education:
- Associate Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology OR
- High School/G.E.D. with completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography training program.
- ARDMS – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
- Minimum 2 years as an Ultrasound Technologist with at least one year in Breast Imaging.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and medical imaging software (PACS).
- Strong knowledge of office and administrative procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
