Phlebotomist I

The PSR II is the frontline representative for patient services, responsible for collecting high-quality blood specimens and preparing them for lab testing. This role involves direct patient interaction, ensuring a safe, professional, and compassionate experience. PSR IIs work independently and may be assigned to multiple locations, requiring flexibility and travel.

• Perform blood draws (venipuncture/capillary) accurately and safely.

• Verify patient identity and label specimens correctly.

• Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and quality standards.

• Provide excellent customer service and build patient trust.

• Maintain clean, organized workspaces and follow safety protocols.

• Accurately complete documentation and records.

• Travel between multiple patient service centers as needed (floater role).

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Required); medical assistant or phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in CA, NV, WA).

• Experience: 3+ years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric draws; 2+ years in patient service environment preferred.

• Skills: Strong phlebotomy skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently, multitask in high-volume settings, excellent customer communication.

• Other: Reliable transportation and clean driving record (required for floaters). Must be punctual, dependable, and flexible to work weekends, holidays, and travel on short notice.

• Must live within 20–25 minutes of the assigned work location.

• Bus/rideshare not considered reliable transportation.

• Mileage reimbursement provided for floaters traveling between sites.
