Job Title: Mammography Tech
Location: Salinas, CA 93901
Contract: 3 Months+
Shift: Flexible shift – 40hr/ week
Pay range: $65 - $80/hr. on W2

Duties:
- Perform Imaging: Conduct daily mammograms and bone density exams per ACR, MQSA, Radiation Practice Standards, and facility policies.
- Assist Procedures: Support Radiologists with needle localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and galactograms after completing required training and demonstrating competency.
- Patient Management: Obtain and review patient medical history and physician orders; explain procedures clearly and ensure complete, accurate documentation.
- Equipment Operation: Select proper technical factors, operate mammography and bone density equipment safely, and adhere strictly to Radiation Safety Practices.
- Image Processing: Prepare and submit studies for interpretation promptly, ensuring images and forms are properly labeled and complete.
- Quality Assurance: Perform or assist with QA activities for mammography and bone density, including tasks involving Hologic Selenia units and AGFA printers.
- Team Support: Report patient condition changes, assist with scheduling, attend meetings and trainings, and support compliance with MQSA standards and other duties as assigned.
- Licensure:
- Current California State License as a Mammographic Radiologic Technologist — CRT (R) (M) — Required
- ARRT (R) registration and ARRT (M) certificate — Required (Copy of original showing date received)
- Certifications:
- AHA BLS/Healthcare Provider Certification — Required
- Minimum initial 40 hours of mammography training — Required
- Minimum 25 supervised mammography exams — Required
- 8 hours of modality training in Tomosynthesis — Required
- 8 hours of modality training in Digital Mammography — Required
- 200 mammograms performed in the last 24 months — Required
- Continuing education — minimum 15 CEUs in 36 months — Required
- Bone Density experience — Preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as a licensed Mammography Technologist — Preferred
