Job Title: Phlebotomist II (PSR II)
Job Location: Bedford, NH
Job Duration: 2+ Months
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday Friday with rotating Saturdays 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of our company to patients seeking healthcare services, whether for routine care or critical health decisions. The PSR II is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing, following established practices and procedures. This role involves direct patient interaction, where the PSR II ensures a trusting and confident environment by explaining procedures clearly and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and skillful manner. The PSR II is expected to demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and precision in patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center, or other locations as business needs dictate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment.
- Confidently handle both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing, following established practices and procedures.
- Verify patient demographic information, initials, and signatures post-venipuncture to ensure tubes are labeled accurately in the patient's presence.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image of the company and provide exceptional service to patients, clients, employees, and the general public.
Job Requirements:

Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric experience.

Flexibility and availability for shifts based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise sound judgment.

Reliable transportation, a valid driver s license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.

Travel and flexible hours required for working across multiple locations, including Patient Service Centers/In-Office Phlebotomy locations with minimal notice.

Capable of managing multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.

Superior customer focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients.

Ability to embrace change and demonstrate knowledge of our business.
Training Locations: Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.
Required Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent.

Medical assistant or paramedic training is preferred.
-
Phlebotomy certification is preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
Work Experience:

A minimum of three years of phlebotomy experience is required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

At least two years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment is preferred.

Experience in customer service within a retail or service environment is preferred.

Keyboard/data entry experience is essential.
