Location Boston, MA 02215
Duration: 05 Months+ (Possible Extension)
Pay Range: Upto $40/Hour. on W2
Work Arrangements:
- Onsite during training.
- Hybrid schedule following training (1–2 days per week in the office).
Job Description:
- Responsible for managing invoicing, collections, and cash management activities for a diverse and complex portfolio of sponsored research awards. This role also provides guidance and operational support to the Associate Director, Cash Management, and assists with mentoring staff as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage cash management activities for sponsored research awards, including invoicing, collections, and account reconciliation.
- Monitor and review award accounts; collaborate with sponsors and University departments to resolve invoicing and collection issues while maintaining strong working relationships.
- Review and interpret award documentation to ensure compliance with sponsor-specific invoicing requirements.
- Prepare, submit, and track invoices using multiple electronic billing portals.
- Partner with management on strategic initiatives, advanced data analysis, and special projects to support departmental goals and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance and support to staff, as assigned, to ensure consistent billing and collection practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 5–8 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a university, research administration, or customer service environment.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and prioritize both routine and ad-hoc requests.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated, diplomatic, and proactive, with the ability to manage processes and collaborate effectively.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of complex formulas for data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small, collegial team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience analyzing detailed financial records.
- Familiarity with legacy accounting systems and SAP.
