Phlebotomist II
Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:00pm & Rotational Saturdays 6:30am-10:30am
Duration: 6 Months

Overview:
The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization, providing exceptional patient care and accurate specimen collection services. This role involves performing high-quality venipuncture, capillary, and butterfly blood draws while ensuring strict adherence to safety, confidentiality, and laboratory standards. The PSR II maintains professionalism, patient trust, and process excellence in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture, capillary, and butterfly blood draws on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients with precision and care.

Collect, label, process, and prepare specimens for clinical and forensic testing following company and regulatory protocols.

Verify patient identity and ensure accurate specimen labeling and documentation at the time of collection.

Maintain compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA standards while ensuring specimen integrity and safety.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors, professionalism, and organizational commitment in all interactions.

Accurately perform data entry, patient verification, and record maintenance in electronic systems.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with health and safety guidelines.

Support multiple Patient Service Centers or in-office phlebotomy sites, adapting to schedule changes and travel requirements as needed.

Provide superior customer service, fostering an atmosphere of confidence and compassion for patients.

Ensure quality control, supply management, and adherence to daily operational procedures.
Qualifications:
-
High school diploma or equivalent required.
-
Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
-
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA).

1–3 years of phlebotomy experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections required.

2+ years of Patient Service Center experience strongly preferred.

Proven ability to deliver error-free, high-volume work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong attention to detail.

Must demonstrate superior customer focus, reliability, and time management.

Reliable transportation and a clean driving record required for float or multi-site coverage.
Additional Requirements:
-
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call shifts as needed.

Must consistently report to assigned sites on time and remain for the full shift.

Adherence to company policies, dress code, and safety procedures is mandatory.

Floaters must be willing to travel between multiple sites daily; mileage reimbursement applies between worksites.
