MRI Tech
MRI Technologist – Travel Contract
Location: Waxahachie, TX
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Type: Temp (Travel)
Shift: 4x10s | Mon–Thu | 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM (NOC)
Interview: Virtual | 1 Round
Scrub Color: Grey or Black
Requirements:

BLS (AHA only)

ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification

Minimum 2 years MRI experience

MRI GE experience
Job Summary
The MRI Technologist, under general supervision of a Radiologist, performs MRI procedures on ambulatory and hospital patients as ordered by physicians or other licensed providers. The technologist ensures quality imaging in accordance with established protocols and maintains a safe, patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities

Perform high-quality MRI procedures according to exam protocols in a timely manner.

Use AIDET communication to verify patients, explain procedures, and build rapport.

Prepare and position patients, set up equipment, and ensure proper exposure factors.

Adhere to infection control, safety, and radiation protection policies.

Maintain cleanliness, functionality, and inventory of MRI equipment and supplies.

Screen individuals for MRI safety per established policies.

Document patient history, requisitions, consent forms, and related records accurately.

Provide compassionate care, monitor patient tolerance, and respond to emergencies.

Support training and onboarding of new staff as a preceptor when needed.
