Job Location: Chicago IL
Job Duration: 1-2 Months (possibility of extension)
Shift: Mon, Tue, Thu & Fri 10am - 5pm , Wed - 9:30am - 2pm , rot Sat 9am - 2pm
Payrate: $25.00/ hr. on w2
Job Summary:
- The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the company, interacting directly with patients during routine care and life-defining health decisions.
- This role is responsible for collecting and processing blood specimens safely and accurately while creating a professional, trusting, and patient-focused environment.
- The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors, maintains confidentiality, and upholds process excellence standards.
- Assignments may include a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Phlebotomy:
- Perform high-quality blood draws, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
- Conduct forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing per established procedures
- Explain procedures clearly to patients and ensure comfort, safety, and confidence
- Verify patient identity and demographics; obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct tube labeling
Operational Duties:
- Complete daily activities accurately and on time under area supervisor direction
- Maintain required records and documentation
- Ensure specimens are prepared correctly for lab testing
- Work independently with minimal on-site supervision

- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment
- Adhere to company policies, dress code, health & safety standards, and confidentiality requirements
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive company image

Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Experience Requirements:

1–3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

- Ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Superior customer service and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to change and work flexibly across multiple locations
- Keyboarding and data entry proficiency
- Strong decision-making and judgment skills
Scheduling & Travel Requirements:
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
- Ability to travel and cover multiple Patient Service Centers or in-office locations with minimal notice
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable)
