Phlebotomist II

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization, providing high-quality phlebotomy and patient support services. This role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring accuracy, professionalism, and patient trust throughout the process. The PSR II creates a positive and safe environment while maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating leadership and process excellence in all tasks.

• Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following established procedures and safety standards.

• Accurately verify patient demographics and labeling; obtain patient signatures to confirm specimen identification.

• Maintain required records, documentation, and quality assurance logs.

• Foster trust and confidence with patients through clear communication and skilled, safe specimen collection.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and professional dress code standards.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment in all collection settings.

• Demonstrate leadership behaviors and uphold the company’s values of excellence, integrity, and compassion.

• Promote a positive organizational image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

• Proven ability to perform error-free work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

• Strong independent work ethic with minimal supervision.

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws.

• Flexible availability — including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

• Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment within established procedures.

• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (as applicable).

• Willingness to travel between multiple sites or patient service centers with short notice.

• Capable of handling multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining superior customer focus.

• Strong communication skills — open, transparent, and patient-centered.

• Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
