Job Summary
Under the supervision of a laboratory technologist or supervisor, performs procedures on blood and other specimens using manual techniques and laboratory instruments. May perform phlebotomy as needed.
Education
- Required: Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science
Certification & Licensure
- Required: Certification from a recognized national agency (ASCP or NCA)
Skills & Experience
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Strong technical and theoretical knowledge of laboratory functions
- Required Experience: Minimum 23 years in a similar role
Additional Requirements
- Experience working in Chemistry lab
- Experience with AU system preferred
- Experience with Sunquest LIS and lab automation preferred
