Job Title: Phlebotomist III – Float
Location: Derby, CT
Duration: 3 months
Shift: Monday – Friday: 8am-5pm & Alt Saturday 8am-12pm

Pay Rate: $20.24/hr. to $22/hr. on w2

Overview:
The Phlebotomist III – Float serves as the face of the company, providing high-quality blood collection and patient care across multiple locations. This role requires expertise in drawing and preparing specimens, excellent communication, and the ability to create a positive and professional experience for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and prepare blood specimens safely and accurately

• Float between sites: Patient Service Centers, long-term care, mobile, or in-office locations

• Provide leadership and support to on-site teams

• Train, mentor, and onboard new staff and clients

• Act as liaison for staff and report to supervisor or lead

• Handle high-volume and/or complex practices requiring strong problem-solving and communication

• Collaborate with internal departments (Sales, Lab Services, IT, Billing, Logistics)

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; medical training (MA or paramedic) and phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, WA)

• Experience:

  • 5+ years phlebotomy (including pediatric, geriatric, capillary)

  • 3+ years in PSC/IOP setting preferred

  • Customer service and data entry experience preferred
