Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Patient Services Representative I (PSR I)
Location: Miami, FL
Duration: 3+ months
Shift: Monday–Friday 1:00 PM–5:00 PM; Every Saturday 6:00 AM–1:00 PM; Potential Sundays as needed
Job Summary
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while ensuring patient safety, accuracy, and confidentiality. This role requires direct patient interaction, professionalism, and the ability to create a comfortable and trusting environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection following established procedures

Accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for testing

Maintain required documentation and records

Provide excellent customer service to patients and clients

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment

Demonstrate reliability, leadership behaviors, and organizational commitment
Requirements
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
-
Minimum 6 months direct phlebotomy experience (Required)

1+ year phlebotomy experience (Preferred)
-
Medical assistant or paramedic training (Preferred)
-
Phlebotomy certification (Required in CA, NV, WA; Preferred in FL)

Strong pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy skills

Keyboard/data entry experience required

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

Flexible availability including weekends and potential overtime
Additional Requirements
-
Must live within 20–25 minutes of the worksite (include home city/commute time on resume)

Rate based on years of direct phlebotomy experience (overlapping roles do not count twice)
-
Reliable personal transportation required (no bus/Uber/rideshare)
-
Must be punctual, dependable, and available for full scheduled shifts
-
Excessive absenteeism/tardiness will result in termination
-
If currently a student, schedule must not conflict with assigned shifts
