Supply Chain Logistics Specialist

Description:
The Supply Chain Logistics Specialist role is responsible for supporting the continued growth of Global Supply Chain Logistics operations by working with the internal teams, freight forwarding partners, Cold Chain solutions partners, and our contract manufacturing partners for global transportation commercial product to support manufacturing and distribution.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Coordinates multi-modal shipments, including preparation of shipping documentation for domestic or international shipments using SAP ERP.
Selects batches to send to assigned sites and monitors re-order points with drug product CMOs.
Identify discrepancies in global shipments and initiate the resolution process with quality teams.
Analyzes routine and non-routine information regarding shipment tracking to support Supply Chain activities e.g. detailed review of customs invoice accuracy, supporting import documentation, tracking of shipments, ensuring material deliveries, and execute aProductst the planned master production schedule and sales forecasts.
Initiates or receives requests for routine changes affecting inventory replenishment, e.g. shipments, invoicing, movement of stock. Performs timely transactions in system to reflect changes.
Tracks progress with department supervisors, adjusts schedules and communicates changes according to production progress, change orders, product availability or other conditions impacting timelines.
Attend meetings with logistics teams and other departments to discuss metrics, KPIs, opportunities, challenges, TM projects, and identify future business needs.
Requirements:
2+ years of relevant experience in related field and a BS or BA
Works on assignments that range from routine to semi routine in nature where independent action and initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations.
Works on assignments upholding safety, quality, compliance, and to recognize deviations from accepted practice is required.
Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills are required.
Demonstrates a working knowledge with intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Able to work independently on routine work and collaboratively help develop solutions for non-routine situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Fundamental understanding of Supply Chain Logistics, Transportation & Trade Compliance/Customs/FDA
SAP ERP experience
Knowledge of cold chain and pharmaceutical shipping requirements
