Payroll Coordinator I

Shift: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
Required Skills

Role Purpose
We are seeking a Payroll/Timekeeper to join our team during a plant start-up. This position is responsible for ensuring all employee time and attendance records are accurately recorded within the Kronos system to ensure employees are paid appropriately and on time.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, reliable, and have a strong understanding of timekeeping and payroll procedures. They should be able to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively across teams and time zones.
Key Responsibilities

Input, update, and maintain employee time and attendance data in the timekeeping system

Verify timesheet accuracy and resolve discrepancies

Ensure compliance with all timekeeping/payroll policies, procedures, and applicable laws

Coordinate with management and HR to maintain accurate employee data

Communicate with employees and management regarding time/payroll issues and obtain weekly time approvals

Collaborate with payroll operations to resolve discrepancies within payroll deadlines

Generate reports detailing hours worked, overtime, and related data

Prioritize ongoing tasks, project work, and departmental initiatives
-
Support end-to-end timekeeping operations

Maintain documentation of relevant processes

Recognize, classify, and protect confidential data

Support department efficiency and standardization initiatives in a team-based environment
Required Qualifications
-
Experience with time and attendance systems
-
Knowledge of payroll and timekeeping procedures and laws
-
Strong attention to detail and ability to process large amounts of data

Ability to relate data to business implications

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel
-
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across different time zones and cultures
Desired Qualifications

Bachelors Degree preferred

Experience with Kronos/UKG Workforce Central or Pro Workforce Management systems
-
Customer service experience is a plus but not required
