Job Summary:

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) is the face of our company to patients visiting for routine health services or important health decisions. The PSR II skillfully and safely draws quality blood samples and prepares specimens for lab testing following established procedures. They build trust and confidence with patients by clearly explaining procedures and performing blood draws accurately. The PSR II demonstrates leadership behaviors while emphasizing process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy in handling patient information. Assignments may include doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations as business needs dictate.




Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily tasks accurately and timely under the supervision of the area supervisor.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.

  • Confidently perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing per established procedures.

  • Verify patient demographic information, including initials and post-venipuncture signature confirming proper tube labeling in patient presence.

  • Maintain all required records and documentation.

  • Promote organizational commitment and maintain a positive image with patients, clients, employees, and the public.

  • Exhibit excellent customer service, clear communication, and a positive, adaptable attitude.

  • Make decisions based on established protocols and exercise sound judgment.

  • Travel and work across multiple locations as required, sometimes with minimal notice.

  • Handle multiple priorities efficiently in a high-volume setting.

  • Adhere to company policies, including dress code, health & safety, and guiding principles.




Job Requirements:

  • Deliver quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.

  • Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).

  • Strong customer focus and ability to communicate transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients.

  • Ability to adapt quickly and embrace change.

  • Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work the entire scheduled shift.

  • Willingness to travel and cover multiple locations within a 20-25 minute commute window.




Education & Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.




Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years phlebotomy experience required.
