Location: Flexible Colorado Springs, Plymouth, MN, San Diego, CA or Cambridge preferred
Hybrid/Remote: 3 days in and 2 days remote. Location is flexible but a candidate will have to work the needed schedule.

This is a Strategic Sourcing Integration role supporting the Spectra Wave acquisition and broader Project Helios integration. The position sits above traditional procurement or materials planning and focuses on supplier strategy, integration, and de risking the supply base during rapid scale.
The role owns the entire strategic sourcing bucket for integrationbringing suppliers into the Philips way of working and enabling successful ramp up.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Lead strategic sourcing activities tied to acquisition integration
Support supplier transition from Spectra Wave to Philips supplier list
Develop commodity and category strategies
o Who to keep, who to phase out, and why
De-risk the supply base
o Focus on capacity, payment terms, commercial terms, and ramp readiness
Enable supplier capacity ramp up
o Scaling from ~300 catheters to thousands
Partner closely with:
o Suppliers
o Supply Planning
o Supplier Quality
o Engineering
o Philips Commodity Management
Not a fit for: materials planning, tactical procurement, or general supply chain roles
Supplier & Technical Product
Supplier types:
o Contract manufacturers
o Circuit board assemblies
o Plastics
o Machining
o Electronics
Medical device experience is a plus, not required
Strong candidates often come from regulated environments such as:
o Medical devices
o Aerospace
o Automotive
Understanding manufacturing processes is important, even if the candidate is not hands on.
Must-Have Skills & Traits
Strategic supplier selection experience
Negotiation and commercial acumen
Experience supporting supplier ramp ups and supply planning (enablement, not execution)
Ability to build and execute commodity / category strategies
Comfortable working in ambiguity and gray areas
Highly curious, self starting, and proactive (this was emphasized as key)
Strong stakeholder management and cross functional influence
Drive Strategic Sourcing activities in support of Philips acquisition. Develop plans to integrate supply base and Procurement processes to the Philips way of working.
Your role:
Work with Philips strategic acquisition partners to align supplier strategy with Philips to meet milestones for integration.
Assess supply base for risk and develop plans to mitigate and shore up supply chain resiliency to support short and long-term needs.
Work closely with suppliers as well as Supply Planning and Supplier Quality to ensure supplier capacity ramp-up.
Collaborate with Philips Commodity Management team to integrate suppliers into the overall Philips sourcing strategy.
Lead sourcing strategy and supplier onboarding by developing and executing sourcing plans that align with technical, quality, cost, and risk targets, ensuring a seamless transition to Philips.
Work with Engineering and Commodity Management team to identify suppliers for new product development.
Leverage supplier solutions that optimize design and manufacturing by standardizing components, influencing design specifications to enhance product value, cost efficiency, quality, and manufacturability.
Establish cost roadmaps and competitive benchmarks to drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and risk while ensuring integration goals are successfully met.
You're the right fit if:
Degree in business or technical discipline.
8 years of strategic sourcing/supplier management within new product development programs preferred.
Experience with medical products, structural heart and cardiac devices such as catheter-based systems, transcatheter devices, delivery systems, stents, or intracardiac ultrasound preferred.
Experience working with diverse supplier technologies (e.g., molding, metals, extrusions)
Understanding of cost and value engineering, and project management principles
Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration, recognized for your impact across the organization. You must also be able to travel up to 10-20% of the time to Philips sites and suppliers as needed.
You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
