Job Duration: 6 Months
Shift: Hours vary between 630am-530pm M-F, Rot Sat 7am-1pm
Phlebotomy Certificate / License : YES
Pay range - $21.79/hr on W2
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist III - Float represents the face of our company to patients, assisting them during routine health visits or life-defining health decisions. This role involves drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while following established procedures. The Phlebotomist III - Float creates a trustworthy and confident atmosphere with patients, explains procedures clearly, and performs blood draws skillfully, safely, and accurately.
This position provides coverage across multiple locations and roles, including Patient Service Centers (PSC), Mobile, Long Term Care, and In-Office Phlebotomy settings. The role demands leadership, mentoring, coaching responsibilities, and collaboration with various departments to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service, especially in high-complexity and high-volume environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Draw blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing in a safe and accurate manner.

Provide coverage across multiple sites and roles as needed.

Ensure daily activities in Patient Service Centers, Mobile, Long Term Care, and In-Office Phlebotomy are completed accurately and timely.

Serve as a leader on-site, stepping in for other phlebotomists and leading Patient Service Representatives (PSRs) when necessary.

Act as a coach, mentor, instructor, and resource advisor for new employees.

Provide effective onboarding for new clients and staff.

Serve as the point of contact for staff on site and communicate regularly with group leads or supervisors.

Handle customers with high complexity and/or volume needs, requiring advanced phlebotomy and customer service skills.

Collaborate with Sales, Laboratory Testing Services, IT, Billing, and Logistics to address specialty or complex test orders.

Manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy regarding patient information.
Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.
-
Phlebotomy certification preferred.
Work Experience:
-
Minimum of 5 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
