Phlebotomist I
Job Location: Las Vegas NV
Duration: 3-4 months
Shift: Mon-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
OR Mon 7:45am-4:45pm, Tue -Thu 7:15am-4:15pm, Fri 7:45am-4:45pm
OR M-F 8am-5pm, Rotational Saturdays 6am-12:30pm
OR Tue-Fri 9am-5:30pm, Sat 9am-3:30pm
Pay range - 19.00 - 23.00
Job Summary:
The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization to patients who visit for routine health care or critical health insights. This role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for lab testing, and ensuring a safe, professional, and compassionate patient experience. The PSR I performs these duties with strict adherence to protocols, while promoting trust, accuracy, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform daily tasks accurately and promptly under the direction of the area supervisor.

Collect and process forensic and clinical specimens according to established procedures.

Ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment for patients and coworkers.

Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients and maintain a high level of care, especially during specimen collection.

Maintain proper documentation and required records.

Demonstrate leadership behaviors and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Exhibit sensitivity to the confidentiality and accuracy of patient information.
Qualifications:
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
-
Medical assistant or paramedic training (Preferred)
-
Phlebotomy certification (Preferred)
(Required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
Experience:
-
Minimum of 6 months of experience required
-
1+ years phlebotomy experience preferred
-
Experience in customer service (retail or service environment) preferred
-
Must have keyboard/data entry experience
Skills and Competencies:

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric draws
-
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Process-oriented with a focus on efficiency and safety

Demonstrates organizational commitment and leadership qualities
Additional Requirements:

Flexible schedule: Must be available for weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed.
