Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Florence, KY, 41042
Duration: 5 months+ with opportunity for extension or conversion
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30-4
Job Description:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
• Work directly with manufacturing associates and engineering to troubleshoot and determine corrective actions for issues occurring from production equipment
• Monitor and control manufacturing processes to ensure product quality
• Work with tools and machines to create fixtures, workstations, and tools to help production
• Implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency
• Actively provide ideas and feedback to support process, product, and organizational improvement initiatives (continuous improvement)
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Learn and participate in the company's lean manufacturing principles
• Execute preventative maintenance per our program requirements
• Train and support production staff on proper equipment usage and maintenance procedures
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Document and report on production activities, performance metrics, and maintenance tasks
• Support and perform production activities as needed
The essential requirements of the job include:
Education:
AA Degree (electrical or mechanical background preferred) or equivalent
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills to be utilized for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing repairs.
• Experience with PLCs and automation systems
• Agile learner that is comfortable working on electro-mechanical automated equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment
• Strong verbal and written communications skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced self-directed environment
• Ability to support multiple projects at the same time
• Team-minded with ability to build excellent working relationships with colleagues
• Willingness to work flexible hours when required
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, MS Project, Excel, Power point)
