Phlebotomist II
Title: Patient Services Representative II (PSR II – Phlebotomist)
Location: Overland Park, KS
Duration: 2–3 months (Temp-to-Hire)
Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM CT
Overview:
The PSR II serves as the face of the company, performing high-quality phlebotomy and ensuring exceptional patient care. This role requires skillful specimen collection, adherence to established protocols, and the ability to provide a professional, positive patient experience in a variety of settings, including Patient Service Centers, physician offices, and other assigned locations.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and capillary collections, including pediatric and geriatric patients

Verify patient identity and ensure proper specimen labeling in the patient’s presence

Process forensic and clinical specimens according to protocols

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment

Complete all required documentation accurately and on time

Demonstrate superior customer service and represent the organization positively

Travel to multiple locations as needed with minimal notice

Follow all company policies, dress code, and safety regulations

Exercise good judgment within established procedures

Adapt to a high-volume, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
-
Medical assistant or paramedic training (preferred)
Experience:
-
Required: 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws
-
Preferred: 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment
-
Customer service experience in retail or service setting (preferred)
-
Proficiency in keyboarding/data entry

Excellent phlebotomy skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
