Job Title: Phlebotomist III Floater
Duration: 5months
Location: Cantion GA
Shift: 8am to 5pm M-F
Travel Required: Yes – Daily local travel to multiple sites
Position Summary:
The Patient Services Representative III – Floater (PSR III) serves as the front-line representative of our healthcare organization, playing a critical role in delivering high-quality phlebotomy and patient care services. This position involves collecting quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring an exceptional patient experience. PSR IIIs must demonstrate strong leadership behaviors, maintain confidentiality, and uphold process excellence.
As a floater, this role requires flexibility, as you will travel between multiple sites, including patient service centers, physician offices, and other locations, often with short notice.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform clinical and forensic phlebotomy collections, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary draws.
Accurately verify patient identification and demographic information and obtain signatures post-venipuncture to confirm proper labeling.
Maintain required documentation and records in compliance with standard operating procedures.
Create professional, safe, and positive experience for patients while providing clear communication during the collection process.
Handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with minimal supervision.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, dress code, and health guidelines.
Demonstrate superior customer service with patients, peers, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
Adapt quickly to change and support operational goals with a positive attitude.
Travel to multiple sites daily; submit mileage for reimbursement as appropriate.
Job Requirements:
Ability to consistently produce error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent venipuncture skills, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Flexible schedule: available for weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime.
Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
Note: Rideshare, public transit, or taxi services are not considered reliable transportation.
Must be able to work scheduled shifts in full and arrive on time.
Must reside within 20–25 minutes of assigned work locations.
Education and Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric and geriatric draws.
Additional Notes:
Training sites may vary depending on trainer availability.
Floaters must maintain a clean driving record and will be reimbursed for mileage.
