Phlebotomist II - Float
Duration: 3 months
Locations: Atlanta GA
Shift: 7am to 4p, 8a to 5p and 9a to 6pm.
Job Summary:
The PSR II serves as the face of the company to patients, whether they are visiting for routine care or critical diagnostic testing. This role involves drawing high-quality blood specimens, preparing them for lab testing, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process. The PSR II demonstrates professionalism, leadership behaviors, confidentiality, and process excellence in all duties. Assignments may vary between doctor’s offices, patient service centers, or other locations based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Phlebotomy & Specimen Collection

Draw quality blood samples from patients, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.

Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing.

Verify patient demographic information, initials, and signatures post-venipuncture to confirm correct labeling.

Prepare specimens for lab testing following all procedures and protocols.
Patient Experience & Communication

Create a welcoming, professional, and trustworthy environment for patients.

Clearly explain procedures and ensure patients are comfortable and informed.

Promote a positive company image to patients, clients, and the general public.
Operational & Administrative Tasks

Perform daily tasks accurately and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor.

Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.

Accurately complete records and documentation as required.

Follow all company policies including dress code, safety protocols, and data confidentiality.
Floater-Specific Responsibilities:
-
Travel between multiple sites as scheduled, often with minimal notice.

Must arrive on time at any site assigned for coverage.
-
Submit mileage for expense reimbursement.
-
Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.
Qualifications:
Education
-
High school diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
Experience
-
3 years phlebotomy experience required.

Excellent phlebotomy skills across all age groups

Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting

Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
