Phlebotomist I
Job Title: Phlebotomist
Location: Cape Coral, Florida
Employment Type: 3+Months (Possiblity of Extension)
Shift timings: Monday-Friday 6AM – 3PM w/ Rotational Saturday and 6am-10am every 3rd Saturday.
Job Description
As a Phlebotomist (Patient Services Representative I), you’ll be the welcoming face of our healthcare team, playing a vital role in patient care and diagnostics. You’ll be responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples, ensuring patient comfort, and preparing specimens for lab testing—all while maintaining a safe, professional, and compassionate environment.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and guide patients through the blood collection process with empathy and professionalism.
- Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens following established protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold confidentiality standards.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
- Represent the organization positively to patients, clients, and the public.
What We’re Looking For

Experience:
- Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
- 1+ years preferred, especially with pediatric and geriatric patients.
- Customer service experience in retail or healthcare settings is a plus.
- Strong keyboard/data entry skills.

Education & Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in CA, NV, WA).

Skills & Attributes:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail and commitment to error-free work.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Reliable transportation (rideshare/bus not considered reliable).
- Must be punctual and able to complete full shifts consistently.
