Job Title: Phlebotomist

Shift: Mon-Friday 7:30a-3:30P


Position Summary:

The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) serves as the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients who visit for routine care or critical health decisions. This role involves skillfully drawing blood specimens, preparing them for lab testing, and ensuring strict adherence to established procedures and confidentiality standards. The PSR II plays a key role in building patient trust and providing exceptional service while demonstrating leadership behaviors and a focus on process excellence.




Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily tasks accurately and promptly under supervision.

  • Maintain a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for patients.

  • Confidently carry out both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing following company procedures.

  • Verify patient demographic information and ensure correct labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient.

  • Maintain all required documentation and records accurately.

  • Promote a positive image of the company to patients, clients, coworkers, and the general public.

  • Exhibit leadership behaviors and demonstrate sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy in handling patient information.




Job Requirements:



Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.

  • Strong phlebotomy skills, including with pediatric and geriatric patients.

  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a high-volume environment.

  • Committed to company policies, including dress code, health and safety, and the Everyday Excellence Guiding Principles.

  • Superior customer service focus and strong communication skills.

  • Willingness to adapt to change and cover multiple locations with minimal notice.

  • Must be able to make sound decisions based on established protocols.



Other Requirements:

  • Training locations may vary based on trainer availability.




Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.




Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience,
