Schedule: 3x12s | 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights)

Requirements:

RRT & RCP Certification
-
BLS (AHA)
-
PALS (Required)
-
NRP (Preferred)
-
Minimum 4 years of experience in General Pediatrics and PICU
Job Summary:
The Registered Respiratory Therapist provides specialized cardiopulmonary care for pediatric patients, utilizing advanced respiratory therapies and techniques to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, inhaled medications, airway clearance, and invasive/non-invasive ventilation.

Perform bedside spirometry and assist in cardiopulmonary resuscitation during emergencies.

Review physician orders and diagnostic results to determine appropriate respiratory therapy.

Monitor patient response to treatments and adjust care using approved clinical protocols.

Educate patients and families on respiratory care equipment and therapy techniques.

Accurately document treatments, supplies used, and patient responses in electronic medical records.

Follow hospital policies including infection control, HIPAA, and patient safety protocols.
Skills:

Strong knowledge of pediatric respiratory care therapies, equipment, and medications.

Ability to work efficiently in high-acuity pediatric and PICU environments.

Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and electronic documentation skills.
