Sonographer Multi Registry – General
Job Title: Sonographer Multi Registry – General
Location: West Bend, WI, 53095
Duration: 02/23/2026 – 05/21/2026
Schedule Notes: 3rd shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM), Tuesday–Sunday. 6 days on, 8 days off. Inpatient and ED scanning. Will provide overnight coverage at West Bend and Mequon location (mileage reimbursement included). The call occurs during shift, and there are no call responsibilities outside of the shift. ARDMS – ABD and RVT required. OB/GYN certification preferred.
Schedule: 3 days/week, 12 hours/day, 36 hours/week
Required Skills & Experience

Proficiency with ultrasound equipment.

Basic knowledge of patient care equipment.
Preferred Skills & Experience
-
One (1) year of current clinical experience.

Substantial training and current clinical experience with ARDMS registry.

Familiarity with McKesson PACS and Epic EMR.
Education
Required Education:
-
Graduate or student in a program accredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), United States Department of Education (USDOE), or Canadian Medical Association (CMA), specifically accrediting diagnostic medical sonography, diagnostic cardiac sonography, or vascular technology.
Preferred Education:
-
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Ultrasound/Sonography.
Licensure & Certifications
Required:
-
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider or AHA-approved equivalent.

Registry eligible through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).

Registration required in Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB), and Vascular (VT). Registries not obtained at time of hire must be completed every nine (9) months until all are complete.
Job Summary
-
Perform sonographic examinations across multiple ultrasound specialties including OB/GYN, abdominal, small parts, breast (site specific), vascular, OR, and procedural imaging in accordance with ACR guidelines and departmental policies.

Provide rotating coverage including weekends, holidays, and emergent call during scheduled shifts.

Produce high-quality, properly labeled diagnostic images and adjust imaging techniques to demonstrate anatomy and pathology.

Analyze physician orders and patient history to ensure appropriate exam correlation.

Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and scheduling teams to support efficient patient throughput.

Utilize EPIC/Radiant and PACS systems accurately and consistently.

Maintain ultrasound equipment, perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance, and report malfunctions.

Prepare and position patients using AIDET communication standards and safe ergonomics.

Assist radiologists and medical staff during ultrasound-guided procedures.

Practice infection control and sterile techniques and remain current with policy updates.

Verify, collect, document, and hand off lab specimens.

Support department workflow by assisting peers, answering phones, scheduling patients, and coordinating inpatient exams.
