Job Summary
The Insurance Clerk performs clerical and administrative tasks related to patient billing, insurance claims processing, and account verification to ensure timely reimbursement and accurate financial records.
Responsibilities
- Process billing for inpatient and outpatient services
- Verify patient account information and reconcile discrepancies
- Submit claims to insurance carriers and process adjustments
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims
- Communicate with insurance providers and patients
- Maintain documentation and account records
- Process late charges and rebilling when required
- Assist with claim corrections and billing updates
Requirements
- Experience in medical billing or healthcare administration
- Knowledge of insurance claims processing
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Basic computer and data entry skills

- Experience in medical billing / insurance processing
- Strong attention to detail
- Customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle high-volume administrative tasks
