Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Duration: 4 months, possibility of extension
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Location: Media, PA
Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM; Every Other Saturday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Job Description
The Phlebotomist II serves as the face of our organization, providing essential services to patients at various points in their healthcare journey. The PSR II is responsible for collecting high-quality blood samples, ensuring accurate specimen preparation, and upholding the highest standards of patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, exceptional customer service, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in fast-paced clinical environments. Assignments may include doctor’s offices, Patient Service Centers, or other sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily activities under supervision while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Create a safe and professional environment for patients and team members.
- Execute both clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing per established protocols.
- Verify patient demographics and obtain post-venipuncture signatures to confirm label accuracy.
- Maintain documentation and adhere to regulatory and company standards.
- Promote a positive image of the company through professional behavior and communication.
Job Requirements
- Proven ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong independent work ethic with minimal need for supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric experience.
- Flexible schedule, including availability for weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call duties.
- Adherence to company policies, procedures, and professional dress code.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel to and work at multiple locations on short notice.
- Strong multitasking ability in high-volume environments.
- Commitment to superior customer service, effective communication, and adaptability to change.
Education & Experience
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Medical assistant or paramedic training.

Experience:
- Minimum 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
- Customer service experience in retail or service industries is a plus.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.
