Shift Timing: Monday-Friday 7 AM-3:30 PM EST
Description:
Manufacturing Operators play a critical role in the production of animal-origin peptones. This position involves routine exposure to chemicals and raw animal tissues as part of daily operations. Work environment includes exposure to strong odors associated with animal-origin materials and processing chemicals.
Job Duties Include:
Set-up and load material into vacuum dryers.
Perform routine cleaning, sanitization, and basic equipment checks while documenting all activities accurately.
Operate pallet jacks to move raw materials/finished products.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), GDP, batch records, and safety guidelines.
Inspect finished products for defects or deviations from specifications.
Collaborate with other team members and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow and timely completion of processes.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Required personal protective equipment (PPE):
Safety glasses, steel-toe boots, hair nets, and beard nets (where applicable).
Additional PPE may be required depending on the task and may include Tyvek suits or lab coats, face shields, and various types of protective gloves.
Additional Requirements/Information:
Must be able to complete pre-employment screening.
This is a contract position, may be opportunity to convert to a Full Time Employee.
This is a Union Facility.
