Shift: 7:00 AM End Time: 05:00 PM

Job Summary:

• The Cardiac Sonographer II performs moderate-complexity echocardiographic exams independently and is expected to recognize abnormal findings and exercise sound clinical judgment in an outpatient setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Sonography or equivalent experience.
• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac sonography (required.
• BLS certification (required).
• Minimum of 5 years of cardiac ultrasound experience.
• Experience performing transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms.
• Comfortable starting IVs and administering Definity contrast.
• Familiarity with Philips EPIQ ultrasound systems and Epic EMR preferred.

Traveler Expectations:

• Work schedule: 5 days per week, approximately 6:30 AM5:00 PM, outpatient site will vary between our Scarborough, Kennebunk and Biddeford locations.
• Expected daily volume: up to 7 full echocardiograms and 1 limited echocardiogram per day, including completion of prereads on all studies.
• Ability to work independently with minimal onboarding.
• Adherence to established protocols, documentation standards, and quality expectations.
