Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Location: Paris, TX
Job Duration: 4+ Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift Timings: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist II to join our team in Paris, TX. As a Patient Services Representative II (PSR II), you will be the face of our organization, providing high-quality specimen collection services and ensuring a positive experience for patients. This role requires excellent phlebotomy skills, professionalism, and a commitment to patient care and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily specimen collection and processing duties accurately and on time under supervisor direction.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
- Collect forensic and clinical specimens following established procedures.
- Verify patient demographics and ensure proper labeling of specimens in the presence of the patient.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, and the public.
- Travel to multiple locations as needed, including Patient Service Centers and In-Office Phlebotomy sites.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to deliver error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in phlebotomy techniques, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexible availability including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Adherence to company policies including dress code and safety standards.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours with minimal notice.
Education & Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
- Medical assistant or paramedic training (Preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification (Preferred; Required in CA, NV, WA)
Experience:
- 1–3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections (Required)
- 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment (Preferred)
- Customer service experience in retail or service settings (Highly Preferred)
- Keyboard/data entry proficiency
